Practically Perfect
I'm sure that "Practically Perfect" is a bit of a stretch, but I think they are!
Yesterday, they had their 4 month check up. Both are doing very well.
Kiara was 25 1/2 inches long and weighed 13 lbs. 7 oz.
Brigid was also 25 1/2 inches long, but weighed 15 lbs. 2 oz.
A great big thank you to Lori for the shirts. Blase mixed up the girls this morning so he was glad to have names on their shirts to tell who was who.
Two Years Later
Grandma Ingalls with Gianna - December 2011
Gianna with Grandma Ingalls - January 2014
Grandma is wearing the same sweatshirt (yes, we planned it that way). Wow, what a difference two years makes when little girls are growing up. Gianna actually has hair now.

Pretty Toes
Gianna's pretty dark pink toes.
Brigid's purple toenails.
Kiara's lighter pink toes.
I painted the twins' toes so we could tell them apart. They aren't too close in looks, but close enough it is nice to have a back up plan. Their toe colors match their assigned color here at the house. The kids all have a color for their hangers and other things.
I have decided they should have an Olympic event where people paint little baby toenails. That is insanely hard! Not only do the toes never stop moving, but their big toes are amazingly flexible. We had more paint on the top of their feet thanks to the big toes than on anything else. If you are wondering, we are using non-toxic Piggy Paint.

St. Valentine's Day
Brech looking sad because he thought he didn't get any Valentines. I am such a mean, mean mom!
A fun supper of breaded shrimp, cupcakes, pop, and other yummy things.
The best part of the night was after supper when watched Despicable Me 2. Darren and I gave the kids that movie for St. Valentine's Day.
Thank you to all the aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends who sent us Valentines. The kids LOVED every one of them.
Growing Up
Brigid and Kiara - just hanging out.
Kiara - lookin' cute is hard work.
Gianna helped her sisters by making sure they were covered up. She was very sweet about it. She quietly covered them up and said "ssshhhh" to me. Then she backed up three steps and blew the babies a kiss.
Brigid and Kiara - having some tummy time.
Kiara on her side and Brigid on her belly. This was the first time that Brigid rolled over by herself. Kiara just hasn't quite done it yet. She's close though.
Brigid is a thumb sucker. Kiara would rather chew on a blanket or a toy.

2013 Grandbabies
Grandma holding Jenna (March), Lia (October), Levi (January),
Papa holding Kiara and Brigid (September)
As you can see, 2013, was a busy, busy year for my family. This brings the total grandchildren to 7 grandsons and 10 granddaughters for my parents. I cannot imagine how many grandchildren there will be when it is all said and done. Only five of us siblings have had children so far.

Great-great Grandma Margie holding both girls. Grandma will be celebrating her 102nd birthday at the end of March. She's still a little spitfire (in a good way).
