Easter with the Family

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day with the family.

Looking good, Cormac!

 I just love these kids!

 Easter presents for the kids.

Throwing hatchets for all the boys!

Watching the kids find the Easter eggs was fun.  Sometimes I wish we lived where the weather was warm and sunny so we could hunt outside.

Kipping eggs is the Bestgen family tradition we are passing down to the kids.

 So many eggs...

It was Peter's birthday so we had a birthday party for him.

 Peter and his girls!

Come on, Zoey!  You can win!

 Kenzie's turn!

Levi is rocking the egg kipping.

 He's still going strong!

 This is a winner!

 Wait...my turn!

 OH man!  Sorry Levi!

Winner, winner...chicken egg dinner!

Easter Egg Decorating!

We had a great Easter egg decorating party.

2019 Garden Update #1

We expanded the garden plot that was already worked from years before.

This is about 3/4 of the garden.  The garden was huge enough to keep us all busy this summer.

Gianna was a great help in the garden.

Gianna is standing by the peas and cucumbers.

This was our first harvest.  Such amazing green superfoods!

The garden got plenty of rain.  We only watered the garden three times this summer/fall.  I was super impressed with the zucchini.  I had enough to feed all of western South Dakota if I wanted to.  The tomatoes did great as did beets.

If Ya Told Me

Darren and I were interviewed on the radio for the spring live drive.  If I had known that would lead to me co-hosting a monthly Real Presence Live show...I would have laughed, panicked, turned around, and walked away.  That's exactly opposite of what I did...so here we are in November leading up to another broadcast of Real Presence Live.

I get the honor of co-hosting with Fr. Michel Mulloy, vicar general for the Rapid City diocese and current diocesan administrator.  He has been a wonderful co-host.  He's becoming a favorite in our family.
