Family Day at CAT Reman

On Saturday morning Darren took the boys to Family Day at his work.  They had a great time eating pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, and milk or orange juice.  A much, much better breakfast than I was going to fix for them (cold cereal). They had a blast in the bouncy house obstacle course.  The girls and I stayed home for all of that excitement.  We did meet them at the plant and went with them on a tour of the new building.  We weren't able to go to Family Day last year, so this was our first chance to see the new building completed.  It is massive.  

Stephen won TWICE on the cake walk. Stephen won this amazing cake and a plate of brownies.  Blase won a round cake.  I told him we were going to put it in the freezer for his birthday.  He wasn't impressed with that idea.  They ended up having it for dessert last night.

Stephen's 11th Birthday

Today is Stephen's 11th birthday.  He had a rough day because he had to do school. Imagine the pain and agony!  We did make up for it after supper though.

 He was super excited about the gift that Uncle Peter and Aunt Mauri gave him.  Thanks.

Here is the gift in action.

 A National Parks quarter holder.  In one word - THRILLED!

What a haul!  That nice kid shared his A&W cans with all his siblings for supper.

 He had a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake for his birthday.

 By the time we ate it the frosting started to melt.  It was a bit droopy.

After birthday cake we took the airplane out for a test run.

That was Stephen's first attempt at flying the plane.

The screams at the end were from me.  The laughing after that was because the kids were having way too much fun watching Mom fall to the ground and scream.
