Babies Update Week 27

I have good news and just news.  

Good news - the cyst on Baby A's brain has resolved itself and there are no more concerns in regards to that.

Just news - Baby B's cord is not working properly.  It is down to only 95% of what it should be.  As a result of this discovery we will be required to have weekly ultrasounds and weekly doctor's appointments starting next week.  I have 12 ultrasounds and 10 doctor's appointments scheduled in the next 10 weeks.  I am also suppose to meet with the Maternity Fetal Medicine specialist again for a follow-up.  I am hoping that won't result in additional ultrasounds and appointments, but it might.  This is no concern at this point, just more so a cautionary measure to insure Baby B continues to receive the nutrients it needs.  I suppose that means we will have MORE pictures to share and MORE details as the weeks go by.  Better save than sorry I suppose.

Depending on whose calculations you go by this is either 

27 Weeks 3 Days (ultrasound dept.) or 27 Weeks 0 Days (OB's).

Baby A measured 26 Weeks 6 Days with an estimated weight of 2 pounds 1 ounce.  Heart rate - 141

This is a cute video of Baby A's mouth moving.  You can also see its adorable heart beating away on the one side.

Baby B's face more from the front.  Just to the upper part of its forehead you can kind of see its hand.  At this appointment its hand was up by its head for a few of the shots.  If you are having problems figuring out where it all is...the forehead is to the left of the picture while the chin is almost in the middle of the picture.  The chest is to the right, closet to the numbers on the side of the picture.

Baby B measured 26 Weeks 6 Days with an estimated weight of 2 pounds 3 ounces.  Heart rate - 143

That is about as close as you can get to being the same I would guess.  They both looked VERY good.  I am pleased with their growth.  Their movement has been wonderful, maybe a bit too much.  I think there are times they must be practicing for the carnival side show.

My weight was great - 154 pounds  I'm not sure how much weight I've gained so far.  I'm not really sure I want to know yet either.

Today at 27 Weeks 2 Days (according to OB) I measured 34 cm.  That would be the ideal measurement for a mother with only one baby at 34 Weeks or there about.  I'll get another picture of myself one of these days.  Yes, I've grown.  Yes, I look like I am carrying either a basketball or a watermelon (depending on Baby B's position).  Yes, you can laugh and say "She's gonna get SO big!"
