Back in July we dug out a sleeping bag and a whole bunch of camping things for Blase. He went on a Rocky Mountain Excursion with a group from the Rapid City diocese vocations office. I wish I had his pictures developed so I could post them. Soon - I promise.
In the midst of locating the things he needed we realized the shelter was in disarray. Darren needed to move some things into there and there was NO room at the inn for anything!
See? It's a mess!!
So we spent an entire day going through every tote, box, corner, or bag to see exactly what we have in storage. A lot of it is waiting for cold weather or kids to grow into it. Some is decorating items that we haven't decided what we are going to do with yet. Some is just junk. LOL
The end result:
Room to walk and room to store more junk.
This also served us well in the fact that we were able to locate a few things that Loman needed for camp - heavier shirts and a Camelbak for starters. He had an okay time at camp. I think we should have sent along more rain gear. They got rained on quite a bit.
This picture is the only proof I have of 60 (ish) campers and seminarians, one priest and his dog, and our families at the Mark Park. They are leaving after being fed a hardy hamburger meal and playing. I hope they will be back again next year. Note to self - make more desserts. Teenage boys can EAT and EAT and EAT!
