Goodbye Wisconsin, Hello Minnesota

 Goodbye Wisconsin

 Hello, Minnesota
We went through two tunnels on our way to the campground.
 From a postcard:
Silver Creek Cliff Tunnel is located three miles north of Two Harbors, MN.  It is 1,340 feet long, and approximately 500,000 cubic yards of rock was excavated and removed from the project allowing for finished tunnel dimensions of 46 ft. wide by 23 ft. high.
Lafayette Bluff Tunnel is seven miles north of Two Harbors, on Highway 61.  It was the first mined, hard rock highway tunnel ever to be built in the mid-western part of the United States.  The tunnel length is 842 feet.
