Our first duty of the day was to see if Santa ate all the cookies and drank the milk. The boys were disappointed when we returned from Mass and there were NO presents yet. While we don't encourage Santa Claus in our house, if the boys want to believe - we let them. I told Stephen that Santa doesn't come to houses with no milk and cookies. SOO, that was the first thing he did as soon his pj's were on. Santa left a note thanking them for their yummy cookies. I heard a rumor that next year he wants chips and beer. I think its just a rumor started by an overly tired elf.
The boys were excited, but took time out to pause for a picture with the present stack. That is NOT all the presents, but a good percentage. This is the last time they sat still all day.
OH how exciting - Blase asked for another Erector set and he got one!! He also received a BB gun and targets. There was plenty of other things too!!
As you can see Stephen made quite a haul too. He loves his new race track and his Hot Wheelers track too. Is it possible for a boy to get everything he loves?? I think Stephen thinks so now!!
Cormac received a treasure box (ammo box), Lego set, bow and arrow toy and FAR too many more gifts. He has walked around all day trying out everyone else's presents as well. 
Brech was more worried about opening presents than what he actually was given. He did seem to enjoy all the candy and the Matchbox cars he (and his brothers) received. He did have a great time going through his stocking. Did I mention he loves his candy!!
Rex found a car in his stocking and candy. He also has a nice treasure box, piggy bank with money inside and a homemade quilt with matching pillow. He had lots of other presents to open too. Rex's favorite gift seems to be his Buzz Lightyear Lego set with a Little Green Man too.
I mentioned the boys received LOTS of candy right?? They are bouncing off the ceilings - what goes up has to come down sometime right?
Darren's gifts were mostly ones that he bought. I did manage to slip in a couple of surprises. Among his favorite was a jelly bean dispensing squirrel. The best part is the jelly bean comes out of the rear end. You can eat this poop!
Cormac proved it off the bat. Darren says he wants to take it to work. Who would have thought a few dollar item was the biggest hit of the day.
After breakfast and cleaning up the massive pile of wrapping paper, we headed outside for some fun in the snow. Darren hooked the sleds up to Helga (4-wheeler) for rides around the yard. I think Rex and Brech are contemplating how many wipe outs they will be experiencing. Scary thought!
Here we are getting ready to go. Darren took the first few rounds on the 4-wheeler and then I took over. This is one of our favorite things to do in the wintertime!
I took some action shots while I was driving. This one shows the boys and Darren down a straight away. A whooping 10 mph, but that's scary enough!!
Oh darn - wipe out!!! Rex took the worst hit of this wipe out. He was MAD about it too. After that he won't get back in a sled. Poor guy!
Another action shot. You can't see Darren's face too very well, but he's faking a "scared out of his mind" face. 
Coming around the corner. Blase is showing off by not hanging on. If I hadn't been taking a picture I might have tried to dump him. He seemed to get off easy this time. Hardly any wipe outs for him.We had a great Christmas Day. I am sure everyone will sleep well when they finally come off their sugar high. Tomorrow might be less enjoyable - we shall see! Merry Christmas!!!!
