Here are the boys while they were singing Happy Birthday to me. They did a great job, with help from their dad. Stephen gets the award for holding the last note the longest. I think he would still be singing if he could.
The boys posing with me and my presents. Blase gave me a collection of cappuccino, Stephen gave me two reed diffuser (one apple spice, the other pumpkin spice), Cormac gave me a new cookie sheet, Rex gave me a Bath and Body Works bubble bath (vanilla), Brech gave me two new non-stick pans (made in the USA - yah!) and Darren gave me a set of Pyrex bowls and pans. From others I received money, a gift card for the spa (yah Courtney you SO earned points this year!!!), another cookie sheet, two round cake pans and a cake pan to make a train cake. There have already been two requests for train cakes for birthdays.
Here is my cake. I didn't have 32 candles, so I used 23 of them to make a 32 on the cake. The cake is called Saucy Chocolate Cake. Darren said the name fit me - the saucy part anyway.
We ran out of time yesterday to have cake, so we are having it today. They sang Happy Birthday again today right after church. Here is the massive flame of candles.
And here is the start of the smoke that came from all those candles. We were worried the smoke alarm would go off. It didn't. Maybe next year??
Darren says I can have my birthday as long as I want......hummmm......
