We spent our Fourth of July weekend on the go. We had a great party at some friends' house on Sunday. The kids played and played. They made new friends and met up with old ones. We had tons of good food, great conversation, and incredible fireworks. We made it home close to 11:30 PM. The next morning we slept in until between 9-10:30.
Oh Brech was trouble. Keeping up with him was like keeping up with a butterfly. We "lost" him once. He ended up in the house somehow. He was being very good playing with a train, but we were freaking out! We also found him on the road once. You will notice there are no pictures of Cormac in this post. He was also as hard as a butterfly to keep up with. We also found him on the road a couple of times. Heart attack time!! There were a few neighbors who thought it was a Nascar track. Wouldn't you think if there a bunch of cars parked along the road that you would slow down?? NOT THEM! If I had been by the road they would have gotten a piece of my mind. Adult or child would not have survived if they had hit someone.
Rex found a sand pile. The sand found Rex's head. Dad found the sand in Rex's head. Mom just shook her head.
Stephen and his new friend showing me how HIGH they can go.
Brave Rex!! He was shaking the whole time he was up there, but kept saying "Take my picture Mom!"
In trouble. Pouting. Not fair.
Playing ball with Father Litzner. He slept good that night. I didn't even know kids came with that long of a battery life. Don't they EVER run out????
On the Fourth of July we spent the morning cleaning and catching up on things. Then later in the afternoon we headed up to another party. The kids played volleyball and air hockey. Afterwards we went to Gianna's Godparents' house. The kids were having a blast in the river, pool, sandbox and yard. They had rides on a golf cart. We were home late again that.
Stephen looking for fish.
What to do, what to do??
He had a great time in the river. I think he wants to go back again.
What is it about sand and boys? Do they ALWAYS find the sand??
Mom: "Blase, don't shoot water at me."
Blase shoots water at me and smiles.
Mom- "I said DON'T shoot water at me."
Blase - "I thought you said to shoot you. My bad."
More smiles....

It's not just boys and sand... my Rachel LOVES sand and Kathryn really enjoys it too. We went to Old MacDonald's farm and they would've spent the whole time in the sand if I had let them.
