Mother's Day Memories

HEY Hello - come with me! I have some fun things to share with you. There are a lot of people at the Mark Park right now. We are having a Mother's Day party. Oh wait...listen to that. How can one family cause so much noise?!

Oh I see now - we are trying to pose for a picture. Good luck with that one. Tallest in the back - NO Kaylene you are not suppose to be in the back. You should stand by my mommy. And Andrew, stop hiding behind my mommy. WHERE IS TWYLA? Oh there is Aunt Twyla, taking a test picture of us. CORMAC and STEPHEN STOP IT!! Gee, we have a lot of green shirts on!

WOW - it turned out pretty good considering the odds. Ten points if you can name all of us (family excluded from contest). What a great family I have!!

Grandma and Grandpa wanted a picture with all of their grandkids. That included me, even though I wanted to go play instead. There are 6 grandsons and 6 granddaughters and all full of trouble in one way or another.

So Grandma loves those new babies. She calls them her Oreo babies because Tory (on the right) was born first, then my little sister Gianna (in the middle) and finally Bella (on the left). Tory has dark hair, Gianna has light hair and Bella has dark hair...just like an Oreo cookie.

Now this is so cool. Grandma wants to put this in the newspaper. Those Oreo babies were all born in a month's time. If that isn't fun enough - they had to have a generation picture. FIVE generations times THREE in one month! (L to R) Great-great Grandma Margie, Great Grandpa Howard, Grandma Rita, then my Mommy Karen with Gianna, Uncle Dirk with Tory and Aunt Mauri with Bella.

A touching Mother's Day moment for Great-great Grandma Margie and her little boy Great Grandpa Howard. We are so blessed to still have her with us. She just turned 99 years young the end of March.

I sure love my mommy and little sister Gianna. Gianna was quite popular that day. Most of the family hadn't seen her yet. Good thing little sisters are so cute because I actually got to play instead of being covered in kisses by all those grandmas and aunts!

Rex was cooking for all of us. We sure love the Mark Park. I like the little house, especially when Grandpa Bestgen sits inside with me.

Do you like my trucks? One of the volleyball courts doubles as a huge sandbox for us kids.

Even Grandpa Bestgen plays with us. Aren't we LUCKY?!
