Our Lady of Guadalupe Day

We celebrated Our Lady of Guadalupe's Day with a few Mexican food recipes.
First we fried up some tortillas.
We let them drain for just a moment before...
Blase put them in a bag with cinnamon and sugar.
Poor Gianna was battling a 104 degree temperature.  Unfortunately her daddy was late getting home from work so supper had to come first.  She was happier after we let her eat some of the cinnamon and sugar covered tortillas.  We hardly heard a fuss from her after that!
I am attempting to make Mexican hot chocolate.
Did you know it has cinnamon and chili powder in it?  Interesting.
This was me doing double duty - stirring the hot chocolate AND flipping tortillas.
All finished!

We also had tortillas with cheese in them for supper.  Dad and Mom had Mexican pasties for supper.

The Mexican hot chocolate was NOT a success.  Only a couple of the kids liked it.  Oh well.
