Christmas at the Mark Park 2016

My family went above and beyond when it came to decorating the Mark Park this Christmas season.

We decided to have a birthday party for Mark/Christmas lighting party on December 10th.  Mark would have been 25 on December 2nd.  When I think about my other brothers at 25 - they were married, some with kids.  It is a overwhelmingly sad thought.  Now it hurts because we are missing out on what would have been his family.  God knows our sorrows and He brings happiness to us in other ways, especially through the joy we see and experience at the Mark Park.

The party was small, but fun.  It was -10 or colder - heck I can't even remember how cold it got.  Wind chills were very cold and bitter.  Our family left about 7:30 PM and it had just started to snow. What normally takes 1.75 hours took us 3 hours.  We couldn't go over 45 miles per hour and most of the time couldn't see the stripes on the road.  I'm glad we went to the party though.  It was a great way to celebrate the Christmas season.
