Rex's 7th Birthday

Rex celebrated his 7th birthday in Yellowstone on our vacation.  He had to wait until the next night to have his party and open his presents.  It was all worth it because the party was at the Mark Park.  That's very special for my kids.  We don't get that chance very often.
Rex opening his present from his very bestest friend, Thatcher (who is next to him).
Godfather John and Aunt Maria gave him candy and a Star Wars activity book.
Uncle Peter, Aunt Maria, Bella, and Jenna gave him a 3-D chalk set.  We have many chalk creations on our driveway already.  He has had a wonderful time, as has Brech and Gianna.
Grandpa and Grandma Gebes gave him MONEY!  That's the best!!  Aunt Courtney gave him a movie/dinner certificate to be cashed in between now and 2025.  There is talk of which movie would be the best to go to.  Too bad Aunt Courtney lives 8 hours away from us.  Sniff, sniff.
A new Angry Birds cap was pretty cool, too.
He got a little lantern and camo bandana.
MASTER YODA???  The. Luckiest. Boy. EVER.
Remote-controlled car that all of us enjoy playing with.  I'm half tempted to get myself one!
Grandpa and Grandma Bestgen gave him a Star Wars sticker book.  If there was anything else in the package he didn't notice!  He has slowly been filling in the pages since we got home.  Also, he has been the sweetest boy and shared his extra stickers with Brech.  He also got a Search and Find book which kept him busy on the way home and candy.
He got quite the haul, including Star Wars Legos, fruit snacks, a new towel and wash cloth, desert plants growing kit, and walkie talkie's (with batteries cause his mommy was thinkin').
Family from both sides of the family came to the party.
 It was a nice time.
Look close - while we were all having a great time Gianna was preparing to go down the ramp with the Tow Mater toy.
Lucky for us she decided to send it down minus one sweet girl.
Then she slid down on her behinder.
No party is complete without the fake knock-into-me-so-I-fall-down gag.
Cormac has mastered that one.  He makes it look amazingly real!
Rex elected to have banana splits for his birthday cake.  That seemed like a strange request to me considering he doesn't like bananas.  He did say he may like them if they have ice cream, sprinkles, and chocolate on them.
 Happy Birthday, Rex Howard!!
My brother, Loman, had had his birthday the week before.  We sang Happy Birthday to both.
Just for future reference - candles in ice cream is a "sing it quick, blow them out fast" kind of birthday cake.
