Camped at Ft. Ridgley

The Minnesota River area we stayed near was beautiful. I'm not sure Google was sober when it sent us on a detour that ended at a bridge out. Then the second detour travelled some intensely bumpy roads. I was running the Bandit position so called Darren and re-rerouted the camper to a simpler and less bumpy route.

This campsite was down in a valley with no communication capabilities with the outside world. Two days of no on-demand Facebook or phone access. It was peaceful, sorta.
The mosquitos were EVEN worse here. So bad we couldn't go outside at all. We took that chance to get a little ahead in school.
Brech set up a library for his sisters in the camper. They would pick one or two books and then go to the front of the camper to read them. Then return for new books. Kept them busy for quite awhile.

The twins played Laura Ingalls Wilder paper dolls while the big kids did school work. They were so adorable having little conversations with the paper dolls.

If you ever hear me complain about flies - remind me of Ft. Ridgely.
